Surpass ED with Generic Viagra

In the current scenario the cost of most Branded drugs all over the world are increasing at a rapid rate. Various factors are responsible for this price-rise like - modern technology, increase in demand, cost of research & development and marketing (which involves huge advertisement costs and distribution of free samples to physicians). Research & development however is vital factor which lead to increase in drug prices over the last several years. For instance the cost of research and development of drugs in the year 2000 alone was $38 billion.

But it is not possible for every individual to buy expensive Branded drugs. For such patients who cannot afford to buy Branded drugs an inexpensive alternative in the form of Generic drugs is available. Before going into details of Generic drugs I would like to explain what they actually are.

When a company invents a drug only that particular company is allowed to produce that drug for several years in the same country. In other words such a drug is protected by patents but once the patent expires, other companies can produce the same drug which is known as Generic drug. For example Viagra is called a brand name drug and Generic Viagra is used to refer to products that are chemically identical to Buy Viagra, but sold as Sildenafil Citrate in all Generic Pharmacies.

Apart from name the only difference between the two forms of drugs is the price which is much lower in case of generic drugs. This is because Generic drug manufacturers spend considerably less on research & development and promotion, and therefore can afford to sell their product for less money. For example Viagra and Cialis are the common drugs used to treat males suffering from Erectile Dysfunction. For both these drugs their corresponding cheaper Generic form is also available with equal effectiveness. For example 50 milligrams of Generic Viagra will produce the same results as 50 milligrams of branded Viagra. Similarly, Generic Cialis is also available at cheaper costs.

Anyone suffering from ED who cannot afford Branded drug may go for it without any hesitation. This is because Generic drugs are just as safe and effective as their branded counterparts. One can buy it at a fraction of the cost he would spend to buy Branded drugs. As long as generic from of drugs are available in independent as well as Generic Pharmacies, middle class people need not worry about the costs of Branded drugs which are at apex. But unfortunately due to witty business strategies, some Branded manufacturers are buying the exclusive rights for even the Generic drugs of their product to minimize the difference in the cost of branded and generic form. Because of this, people may not get the cost-savings benefits of generic drugs. The Federal Trade Commission is investigating such manufacturer's actions; since they appear discourage other companies from marketing generic drugs of their product.

Thus Generic drugs will continue as cheaper alternative to Branded ones till such witty practices of few mean Manufacturers are kept in check to preserve the benefits enjoyed by patients who prefers to buy Generic Drugs at cheaper costs.
